Born in Aosta Italy in 1971 Roberto has always had an overriding passion for the mountains and the outdoors.
His love for the mountains extends to all disciplines, from high altitude mountaineering to big wall climbing to free-riding on big powder days.
Prior to becoming a guide he competed at a national level in river kayaking.  
Roberto also holds a university doctorate in agricultural sciences and works part time as a professor with the regional agricultural institute of Aosta.
